Occupational Therapist

Brandi graduated in 1999 from the Medical College of Virginia with a degree in Occupational Therapy. She immediately began her career in pediatrics in Roanoke, Virginia where she worked in early intervention (birth to three population) and in a private outpatient OT/PT/Speech focusing on sensory integration and fine motor skills. She later moved to Richmond to continue work with early intervention services for several years before taking a job as a school system therapist in the Richmond City Public schools. She worked as a school system therapist for five years, while also working part time as a consultant to private schools leading handwriting groups for kindergarten and first grade students. Brandi served on a design team for the Children’s Museum of Richmond as they remodeled the museum to make it accessible and engaging for children with disabilities. She also served as the OT to the Exceptional Orchestra, an inclusive orchestra production for children with all abilities. She later moved to Baltimore, MD for several years and stayed at home with her young son. Upon moving to the Charlottesville area, she began working as an OT at a private clinic and as is currently a consultant to St. Anne’s Belfield School, where she works with preschool and school age students. Brandi recently planted permanent roots in Crozet with her husband, three kids and two dogs!

Brandi has been so AMAZING with our son. He is on the autism spectrum and has tremendous delays in his motor. She has come up with so many creative ways to get him to work on very difficult skills. He has made wonderful progress with her help and she has become such an important part of his life. I learn something from her every session. I truly can't say enough about her and how lucky we are to work with her.
