Speech Language Pathologist

A Virginia licensed and nationally certified Speech-Language Pathologist, Cary graduated from Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA, and received her master’s degree from the University of Virginia. Before moving to Crozet, Cary was part of the Speech Pathology team at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, where she worked with children age 0-21. She provided treatment for articulation, phonology, receptive/expressive language, and childhood fluency disorders; communication disorders related to autism spectrum disorder (including pragmatic language); childhood apraxia of speech; TBI/concussion; and selective mutism. She has significant experience using communication devices as well as other forms of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) with individuals across the lifespan. Cary deeply values building strong relationships with clients and their families. She believes these connections are the foundation for a child’s progress in speech therapy. Cary moved to Crozet in 2019 with her husband, daughter, and golden retriever. Their family has fallen in love with the mountains and with this special community. In her free time, you can find Cary swimming laps at the Crozet Park Pool or running the Crozet trails.
