Maggie Robertson, M.S., OTR/L

Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Maggie graduated in 2013 from the Medical College of Virginia with a masters degree in Occupational Therapy. She moved to Pennsylvania with her husband and began working in a school system with elementary and middle school aged children. Her focus was on assisting children adapt to the school environment using strategies to improve fine motor skills, visual motor skills, and sensory processing. Maggie then worked at a pediatric outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Pennsylvania where she was able to expand her skills and work more closely with the children and families as a unit.

In this time, Maggie began to explore how her personal interest in Yoga could be tailored to help the children she was working with. She attended a course called Yoga for the Special Child: Level 1 and also became a Registered Yoga Teacher. Since then, she has utilized Yoga and meditation as a key modality in her occupational therapy treatment sessions.

Maggie lives with her husband, daughter, and two Golden retrievers in Greenwood, VA.
