Speech Language Pathologist


Megan is a Speech-Language Pathologist who received both her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from The University of Virginia. She is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Megan, a third generation educator, served as a Project Coordinator at the UVA Department of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences before returning to graduate school to pursue a degree in Communication Disorders to serve in the field of education. She has experience working with children and adults with varying disorders and diagnoses including Autism Spectrum, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity, Dysphagia, Fluency, Articulation/ Phonology, Expressive/Receptive Language, Voice, and Accent Modification in private clinics, public and private schools, and acute care/rehabilitation hospitals.

She is endorsed in Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (Vital Stim) and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), and has received extensive post-graduate training in Social Communication and Executive Functioning, meeting the criteria for ADHD-Certified Rehabilitation Services Provider (ADHD-RSP). 

Her client-centered practice focuses on strengthening executive functioning to enhance independence across settings, and facilitating social cognitive communication skills to promote better relationships and improve quality of life. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors on her farm with her twin sons, husband, and animals.
